Losing Friends

I thought we'd be friends forever.
That we would be there through thick and thin.
But I was there and you were not
I guess that's just how life is.
People grow apart, grow up and change.
Sometimes its for the better
But it still hurts all the same.

Putting all the differences aside
I wish you all the best.
Hope your future ends in happily ever after
and hope mine will end the same.
For now we are going our separate ways.
I never thought that would be.
I thought you'd be with me through all my pain
All my happiness
But when times got hard I got blamed
Picked on, yelled at and beat up
All in a matter of days.
I'm going through the hardest time of my life.
A time I needed you the most.
But you weren't there
Did you even care?
No, probably not.

All the horrible things that were said
The childish way it was done.
It was all for the better.
I'm glad I finally know how you feel
How you've felt about me the whole time.
We've gone our separate ways.
I wish you the best.
Your ex friend.

IT'S ALMOST 2016....

And I feel like I have got almost nothing accomplished.

Still not finished with my travel writing school that I started sometime at the beginning of the year - but with 12 hour work days and the assignments being mostly about traveling, I feel at a loss for words sometimes, literally.

My love bought me a domain name to set up shop on the web for all my craft projects and that is still not up and running. I need to buy a good photo tent to take awesome pictures of my products so they look professional and not just so-so. I plan on having it open in January, but it would have been nice to have it before the holidays.

I barely write on my blog anymore and I need to. Writing is my passion. I've always loved it and its a way for me to clear my head and make me a little more sane. So I should definitely do this more often.

We bought a house and things are still in boxes. House was purchased and moved into at the end of September and it's the end of November - come on girl get your life together!!! LOL

Wedding planning is going well but not fully completed. Wedding is in June and I still need to book a DJ and photographer. We had a photographer but he backed out due to conflict with work (it was a friend). Found a florist but I need to book a consultation. Have a hair appointment on Tuesday and going to talk to them about doing the hair for the wedding. I know what my centerpieces will look like, and bought some stuff at JoAnn Fabrics to start making it, but still have a long way to go with those. I know what I want but finding it is the problem. I will just be making a lot more trips to craft stores, which is fine by me.

So I guess I have been productive, but I feel like I should be doing more and getting more things accomplished. But on the bright side, I know me and this is pretty good for my procrastinating self. I'll just pat myself on the back for good behavior and hope I can do better next month with all that needs to be done - having Christmas at my house this year so I really, really, really need to get my house in order. Send me good luck vibes, please. I will be needing them. :)

Do you ever feel ...

like you have so many ideas in your head and you don't have enough time or energy to do it all? Well that is totally me.
I want to be a writer, a traveler, a crocheter, a clothesmaker, a foodie ... etc. etc. etc. I want to open my own shop and sell my handmade items, and I did open an etsy shop, and yet I feel like I don't have enough time to promote it because I work 12 hrs a day and when I get home all I want to do is put on my jammies, lay on my couch and watch tv. I don't want to think about work, and though my shop is my hobby it is work getting it up and running. But if I do nothing than none of my dreams will come true. Such is the dilemma.
Every day I am motivated by my peers to do what I love - which is all of the above and more - but I feel so drained after to working to get anything accomplished. I would just like to quit my full-time job and say the heck with it all, and fully delve into my business, but I can't because I wanted to have this big wedding with all of my family and friends and so I have to stick with it for the time being. Damn my childhood wedding dreams! But I know it will happen because I want it to happen and my future hubby believes in me and motivates me to keep my dreams alive. So cheers to him and my future dreams one day coming true. Until then, keep dreaming and dream BIG!!!

Things I love

Daniel Radcliffe - a.k.a. Harry Potter - can rap. This is the most amazing thing in the world!!! He's amazing and made me love him even more.

I'm obsessed with her and this song. Everything is all about that bass!!!

And her new song is just as addicting. For realz!

And then there's TSwift and her new songs Out of the Woods and Blank Space. I could listen to her all day every day. Just love her.

I love watching Jimmy Fallon. His show always has something new and is funny and the guests he has on his show are amazing!! For instance this game with Emma Thompson. She's amazing in general, as an actress and obviously in real life. Just cracks me up.

I hope you enjoyed my favorite things. I always find something new that I love to watch and I will always share them with you all. Peace, Love and hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Until next time.

My month so far...

Cheerleading season has started. I am a cheerleading coach for 7-9 year olds in my town. The season started at the end of July, but it got a little crazier the past few weeks, what with my traveling and games starting up. We have to make a routine for competition which is in October - we have the competition cheer and dance all choreographed, now we just have to teach the girls...oh boy is that fun. Hopefully we'll place 1st or 2nd so we can go to Nationals in Tampa like we did last year. It was a nice mini vacation, a good time was had by all - cheerleaders, coaches and parents.

The bachelorette party went off without a hitch. It was crazy for me, getting on a plane, sleeping, getting up early to catch the ferry, partying for 2 days straight, then waking up early to catch a bus to the airport. I had to work the next day, so needless to say I was very, very tired for a while. But the bachelorette had a great time, and so did all of us girls. It was great to see everyone, let loose and have a great time! Also the view from our room at Ballards Inn was phenomenal...island status!

In two weeks I will be making another trek up to Massachusetts, but this time I will be driving the whole way with my boyfriend. It will be a grand adventure and our first vacation. It will also be the first time he'll be meeting my family and friends who live up north. I'm really excited. I found this great website, roadtrippers.com, where you can plan stops along the way on the roadtrip - definitely check it out! My boyfriend is kind of wary about what I came across - can you say UFO Welcome Center and Largest Tire? Oh Yea!! I also planned a stop in New Jersey because his only request was to be able to see Jay and Silent Bob's comic shop and the Quick Stop where they filmed at - I found another comic book shop along the way in Virginia, so we'll be stopping there too. Best girlfriend ever? I think so! On the way back, we're hopefully going to stop for a bit in Washington, D.C. We have to get up to Mass quickly because of the wedding, but on the way home we don't have any set schedule and it's my birthday weekend so we're hopefully going to stop and see the sites. Exciting!

We've been collecting Pops! If you're a nerd and you like collecting things, then you've probably heard of them. If not, maybe you shouldn't, because it is addicting! My boyfriend already has about 30, not counting the 3 that I have at my house. So far we're collecting the Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Ghostbusters and Back to the Future collections. We've started on Disney as well - Elsa and Olaf and Tinkerbell :). I want the entire Buffy collection, but so far I only have the comicon special edition Slayer Buffy, which is absolutely awesome!!! My babe likes me a lot for getting me that - he also got me the Archie comic where Archie dies :( - I was told not to read it because it loses it's value, so I haven't read it yet.

And on the last note, here's a great new song by TSwift ... review is up on my other site here. Enjoy!!!

Jetsetting

A personal goal of mine is to become a jetsetter. I want to travel whenever and wherever I want at the drop of a dime. I'm starting my jet setting ways by heading up to Block Island for the weekend for my best friend's bachelorette party. I know it's probably not really jet setting, but I am picking up and leaving for the weekend to go on an excursion, it just so happens to be back to my home town to celebrate with my girlfriends, but I have to start somewhere. Right?

My next trip is at the beginning of September for a wedding and my boyfriend is coming with me. I'm pretty excited about that. He'll get to meet my family and friends and I'll get to show him around my hometown and see the sights of Boston. We're also going to be driving to New Jersey for a day so he can see the comic store run by Jay and Silent Bob - I don't know they're real names but he wants to go - he really likes comic books.

After this trip I will be planning another bachelorette to Atlantic City, New Jersey and another wedding up north at the beginning of 2015. Then, it will be traveling to whatever destination I choose. Something fun. Something cool. Maybe something exotic? My cousin and I will be going on a European vacation the summer of 2016 when I'm 30 (yuck) and he's 25. I'm super thrilled about that and already semi-planned our itinerary which mostly involves seeing sights that were used in Harry Potter - and then of course historical sights like Buckingham Palace and hopefully the Eiffel Tower in Paris. We're definitely going to London, but unless I get a new job, I won't be able to take a long, much needed trip to Europe. We'll see about that, it's still two years away. Plenty of time to save and plan.

If I could find a way to comfortably travel and work from home that's what I would like to do. I'm a writer at heart, but I can't seem to finish one train of thought long enough to create a great work of literature. It's quite a dilemma when I would like to write books for a living, but only time will tell and dreams do come true if you believe. Until then, safe travels and great adventures will be had by me...this weekend at least. ;) Bon Voyage. Too-da-loo!!

MINT MINT MINT

My new favorite color is MINT!! Not just mint, but anything that's light blue/green is okay in my book. I'm obsessed!! Goodbye pink hello mint everything. I can't even explain how much in love I am with this color. It goes with EVERYTHING and its absolutely adorable on!! Here's me wearing the color:

My favorite loafers from Nine West. Absolutely ADORE them!

My favorite necklace accessory... I think I got it at Forever 21.

And here's a few of my obsessions in my favorite color - to be purchased in the near future hopefully :) - and a few pictures of the color just out and about -

If I didn't already have a cool pink car, I would definitely have this mint Fiat. It's so precious!

Rocking chair found at Southern Crossing Antique Mall in Riverside.

Also found at Southern Crossing Antique Mall ...

this awesome captain's desk. I really like the color and how it's not quite finished gives it such character and personality. I could absolutely see myself sitting at this desk writing all day.
